Born in Long Beach, California, Jane also lived in Florida and Pennsylvania as a child. She is a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College. At WVWC, Jane met her husband Ken. They have been happily married since 1990 and have one daughter, Natalie Anne, their greatest pride and joy. Ken began teaching at Waynesboro Area Middle School in 2002.
Once married, Ken and Jane ministered together at four churches including St. Thomas Assembly of God in St. Thomas, PA, and Christian Life Church in Chambersburg, PA. At CLC, Jane served as financial manager and worship and choir leader, and Ken led the sound, media and tech teams. Jane also worked as a music teacher at Shalom Christian Academy from 2006 to 2016. As she served at CLC, Jane felt the call to the pastorate and began studying at the Penn Del School of Ministry. She was credentialed with the Assemblies of God in June 2020. Around this time, Pastor Jane also began sensing that God had a new assignment for her. The Carlson’s are excited that God has called them to Calvary Assembly of God where Jane is serving as Pastor of Christian Education and Discipleship.
“The Lord has continued to bless and surprise me with opportunities to use my gifts for Him! I have always tried to walk through the open doors that God puts in my path. God's plans are so much bigger and better than anything we could come up with on our own! Even in the hard times, God is at work - changing us and those around us into His image. My prayer is that Calvary Assembly of God will be a place where people encounter the Lord and become His disciples, growing in faith and helping others to do so as well. Calvary is a place for us to hear from God and pour out our hearts and lives before Him in worship and surrender. Our goal is to be an Acts 2 church – active in worship, ministry, evangelism, fellowship and discipleship. God is the one who gives our lives and our church purpose and meaning.”
