Nick Bilton conducted an interview with Steve Jobs on September 10, 2014. The iPad had just been released and was changing the lives of many, including children. He asked this question; “So, your kids must love the iPad?” Mr. Jobs' response,“They haven’t used it, we limit how much technology our kids use at home.” Mr. Jobs knew what many are learning only now. Technology and social media have rewired a generation, and not for the better. We live in a world where 38% of teenage girls and 26% of teenage boys suffer from anxiety. That is up from 12% for teenage girls, 4% for teenage boys in 2010. The great rewiring is almost complete.
